Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw, at the age of U80, still look extremely affectionate as they hold hands in Italy and celebrate their daughter Jessica Capshaw’s 48th birthday

This week, while celebrating her daughter Jessica’s birthday in Portofino, Italy, Steven Spielberg and his wife Kate Capshaw appeared incredibly happy.

Walking down the street with their family members in tow, the legendary director, 76, and his actress companion, 69, linked hands.

Steven was talking to his wife while sporting a beautiful gray hat, white pants, and a printed shirt.

Wearing a sun hat, white flared trousers, and a floral top, Kate looked stunning.

She wore a pair of chic shades and an updo for her golden hair.

Kate and her ex-husband Robert Capshaw have only one daughter, Jessica, who turned 48 on August 9.

The 47-year-old Jessica Capshaw describes her “deeply sad” miscarriage from eight years ago in an article graphic.
The actress from Grey’s Anatomy, Jessica Alba, is married to Christopher Gavigan, one of the co-founders of her company, The Honest Company. The two of them have four children together.

As they made their way to their family celebration, the couple was spotted posing with their 17-year-old son Luke, their 13-year-old daughters Eve, 12-year-old Poppy, and 8-year-old Josephine.

After meeting in 1984 when he cast Kate as the female protagonist Willie Scott in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Steven and Kate have been married for more than thirty years.

Together, they have five children: Sasha Rebecca, Sawyer Avery, Destry Allyn, and adopted children Theo and Mikaela George. They were married in October 1991.

Additionally, Jessica and Max Samuel Spielberg, the couple’s children from their previous marriages, are stepparents to each other.

Kate was previously married to marketing manager Robert Capshaw from 1976 to 1980, while Steven was previously married to actress Amy Irving from 1985 to 1989.

Steven said earlier this year that he had no regrets about declining the 2001 opportunity to direct the first Harry Potter movie since it allowed him to see his kids grow up.

The Oscar winner passed up the opportunity to spend time with his family by not making Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, the first film in the wizarding series based on J.K. Rowling’s books.

In an interview with Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli for Reliance Entertainment, Steven clarified: “I decided not to make a number of films.”

“I decided to forego the first Harry Potter in order to essentially spend the ensuing year and a half with my family, watching my young children grow up.”
